Preserving the Granada’s character while correcting the corrosion, previous repairs and tired systems that stood between it and confident use.

Once stripped, the Granada revealed more complex metalwork than its exterior suggested. Heavy filler and poorly fitted panels hid corrosion across the sills, wheel arches, wing rails, rear quarters and valances. Rather than replace sound original material wholesale, we repaired only what was necessary—fabricating repair sections, reshaping panels, correcting door damage and protecting completed work with modern primers, seam sealers and underbody coatings.

The shell, doors, wings, bonnet and boot were then worked through a multi-stage preparation process. Spray filler and high-build primer were repeatedly guide-coated and blocked through progressive grades before the shell and engine bay received base and clear coat in a monitored booth. The finish was then wet-blocked and polished for depth and consistency.

Reassembly combined restored brightwork and interior trim with recommissioned mechanical and electrical systems. The engine, fuel tank, cooling, braking, steering, lighting and cabin components were installed and tested, with faults traced rather than disguised. Final polishing and underside inspection followed in June and July 2026.

The result demonstrates what Selective Restoration is designed to achieve: a car that keeps its identity and usable original fabric, while the areas that compromise structure, finish, reliability or presentation are restored to a clearly defined standard.
